Privacy Policy
This page explains what data VPNEQ (referred to below as the Service) processes while delivering international network acceleration, why it is processed, how long it is kept, and how users can access or delete it. The wording is clause-style and should be read alongside the Terms of Service.
Data Collection and Use
The Service processes only the data required to run and deliver the service, in four categories:
- Registration information — username and password. Registration does not require an email address, and no email field exists in the system; passwords are stored as irreversible hashes and plain text is never written to disk.
- Order information — plan name, amount, payment channel and activation time, used to activate routes, verify payments, process refunds and reconcile accounts.
- Device and client information — client type and version, connection time, and the exit region connected to, used to troubleshoot connection issues, maintain sessions and identify abnormal requests.
- Visit statistics — aggregate data on page views, referral source and device type, collected by a self-hosted analytics script; no third-party ad networks are involved.
What Is Not Logged and Connection Logs
The Service follows an anonymous, no-logs logging policy, specifically:
- It does not record which websites users visit, and does not store browsing content or DNS query records;
- Connection status data covers only session start and end times and the exit region, used to maintain connections and troubleshoot issues, and is kept for the shortest period necessary;
- No long-term profiles that could be used to reconstruct an individual's browsing behavior are created;
- User data is not sold to third parties and is not used for advertising.
Cookies and Local Storage
The site writes only three types of necessary data to browser local storage: language preference, login credentials and interface settings (such as the last selected route group).
This data stays in the user's own browser; clearing browser data also clears the login state, so the next visit requires signing in again. The site does not use third-party advertising cookies for cross-site tracking.
Payment Handling and Third Parties
Payments are completed through third-party payment channels; the Service supports Alipay / WeChat / USDT. Payment accounts, balances and verification details are handled by the channel provider and are neither accessed nor stored by the Service.
The Service receives only the order number, amount and payment result status returned by the channel, used to activate plans and reconcile accounts. Refunds follow the 14-day no-questions-asked refund commitment and are returned through the original payment channel.
Data Retention Periods and Deletion
- Account data — kept for as long as the account exists; after account closure, the username and login credentials are deleted or anonymized.
- Order and transaction records — kept for the period required by payment channel and accounting reconciliation rules, then deleted or anonymized and no longer used for any other purpose.
- Connection and troubleshooting data — kept for the shortest period necessary and cleared once that period ends.
To access, correct or delete your data, submit a request through the user panel ticket; the Service handles it after verifying account ownership and replies with the result in the ticket.
Policy Updates and Contact Channels
When this policy is updated, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page changes accordingly; any major change to how data is processed will be explained in a site announcement covering the scope of the change and its effective date.
If you have questions about data processing, or need to exercise a data access or deletion request, submit it through the user panel ticket, stating your account username and what you are requesting. All data-related requests are handled through the ticket channel.
